Tomás Ó Sé had plenty to say on Dessie Dolan’s brave Fitzgerald Stadium footwear

Business up top, yacht-club party down below.

It is a scorcher all over most of Ireland today, and Dessie Dolan is not going for the full-on suit rig-out for his punditry brief on The Sunday Game.

The former Westmeath star was down at Fitzgerald Stadium for the Munster Senior Football Championship Final between Kerry and Cork, and he was dressed for the sun.

During a pre-match preview, on the pitch, as the Kerry boys warmed up in the background, Dolan looked the part with a crisp short-sleeved shirt. It was only as the cameras panned back that his white shorts and sandals combo became apparent.

Needless to say, the GAA-loving public were quickly on Twitter sharing their sartorial thoughts on Dolan’s get-up.

When RTÉ returned to their Croke Park studios, it was clear that host Joanne Cantwell and the panel there had already shared some words on Dolan’s bold fashion choice.

Cantwell threw a team selection question to Tomás Ó Sé but gave mention to Dolan, perfectly teeing up the former Kerry star.

“I’m surprised Dessie didn’t get a clip for wearing those sandals into Fitzgerald Stadium, and that one of the Kerry lads didn’t give it to him!”

Let Dessie shine, we say.

If this good weather keeps up, it will be good to keep track of the RTÉ pundits. Jackie Tyrrell, in particular, is not a man to be outdone when it comes to showing off a fashionable flair.
