This one picture sums up what today’s huge win meant to the Dublin hurlers

This one took guts.

Down eight points in the first half, on the back of an absolute spanking from Galway, Dublin could have easily quit on first-year manager Ger Cunningham. Instead they dug deep and a Dotsy O’Callaghan goal and a LOT of points from Paul Ryan saw Dublin pip Limerick by 1-17 to 1-16 to advanced to the All-Ireland quarter-final.

After taking so much stick before the game, midfielder Johnny McCaffrey summed up the team’s emotion at the final whistle.
