Oh, she is lovely.
The question on everybody’s lips out west is whether Mayo GAA actually expected the news of their new manager to drop, or whether they wanted to put their fans through an emotional wringer for one more September day.
Now we know they’re a different beast out west. We’re well aware that Mayo fans are in a League of their own when it comes to hype but still, the announcement of an announcement about the release of the county’s new jersey hardly justifies the big news coming banner that was teased, so stay tuned.
We'll have big news coming later so stay tuned. #mayogaa #gaa

Because you don’t know Mayo fans if you think they did anything other than refresh their Twitter feeds frantically and all night long from Thursday evening into Friday morning in the desperate hope and the expectation that a bombshell was about to drop and Horan-Solan was about to be resolved.
They’re the type that’d stay tuned to a radio station even when the coverage is gone and the sound gets fuzzy just because it’d be something of a victory if it came back.
So when they actually have something to tune into, as you can imagine, they’re ten times more wound up.
Well, after the big song and dance, the new Mayo jersey is here.
It hasn’t disappointed either. It’s brighter than the last and has a lovely white trim around the edges.
It's here the new #mayogaa jersey for 2019. It will be available to purchase in-store exclusively from @Elverys and @ONeills1918 on Friday October 5th. You can pre order yours now – https://t.co/ogzOhHytqL. #raisethebar pic.twitter.com/Bl5DjismSO

The retro-look goes well, and the men of the west will be well-kitted next year.
Fans are saying that it’s very similar to the Paul Galvin designed Kerry one.
So the new Mayo jersey is virtually the Kerry jersey but in green and red???

One wonders whether the announcement of their next manager is coming too, so for Mayo fans, it’s back to normality. A life of wonder, of hope and of expectation.
