Roscommon GAA club Strokestown have come up with a novel way to appeal to ‘mass goers’ who may opt for the church over the club’s game with St. Croan’s GAA this morning.
With Strokestown scheduled to play St. Croan’s at 11:30am on Sunday morning, the club offered to provide communion to supporters that may have skipped the match in favour of mass.

The move is a unique way of competing with the reach of the church. While communion was seemingly served pitch side, it seems porter is on the menu for the post-match ceremony after Strokestown fought their way to a two-point win over St. Croans.
It is unclear whether the club employ a full-time social media manager, but their official Twitter account certainly have an interesting way of providing live updates.
Job done. 2 points. Who's for porter ?

It’s hard to see the top intercounty social media accounts following a similar suit, but punctuality aside, we absolutely love Strokestown GAA’s social media strategy.
