We were so sure that the goal by Paul Browne was not a goal in Limerick’s win over Westmeath on Sunday.

We would have sworn in a court of law that the shot by the Limerick man flashed wide, and should not have stood in the 4-15 to 1-12 win.

Even Donal Óg thought it was wide as the evidence seemed pretty clear cut.

RTE produced the footage that showed the ball flashing outside the post and bouncing off a wall behind the goal.

Or so we thought until a Youtube user called Paddy O’Paddy(may not be his real name) decided to slow down the footage which has changed our whole opinion on the issue.

When slowed down it certainly does appear that the ball DID go into the net and the goal was legitimate.

It’s making us question everything we ever thought we knew.

Amazingly there has been no comment from the GAA, or the umpire or referee involved in the whole incident that we are aware of as of yet.

So let’s finally put the issue to bed.

Goal, yes or no.
