Trump-mania has been sweeping America.
And at least according to CNN, there is even support from hurling’s heartland for the billionaire running for the Republican Party’s presidential nomination.
Donald Trump is almost certain to secure the GOP nomination for the White House, but his campaign has been dogged by controversy.
Just this week there was a reported incident in North Carolina when a black man at a Trump rally was punched in the head.
CNN reported the news late on Thursday evening, and while panning across shots of the crowd greeting Trump, it picked out a man in what is unmistakably a Tipperary jersey.
The caption may be somewhat unfortunate, but we’re assured the hurling fan was not in any way involved.
Seems like Trump-mania has even reached Tipperary. #tippfortrump pic.twitter.com/MADGRrcnS7

We would have thought that with Trump’s strong Clare links, that there was no way that a man from the Premier County could support ‘The Donald’.
Politics does funny things to people it seems.
