If you’re going to shell out a heap of money on a press box, there are certain things you need to take into consideration.
First and foremost, the priority should be to make sure the design allows all the people inside the press box to see the action on the field before, you know, you actually build the thing.
It seems that this key step wasn’t taken before construction began on the €1.9m redevelopment of Cusack Park in Ennis.
Joe Ó Muircheartaigh of the Clare People tweeted out his view from the new press box for Clare’s Allianz Hurling Division 1B clash against Limerick on Sunday. Suffice to say, it was far from the best seat in the house.
