The celebrations of Dublin’s All-Ireland success are continuing in the capital and last night the Dubs had a very special fan getting up close and personal with Sam Maguire.
The Dublin Chamber of Commerce held their annual dinner and it seems that the Dublin footballers were among the special guests invited along.
Jim Gavin and some of his charges were in attendance at the National Convention Centre but one over-eager Mayo man it seems was willing to get aggressive in order to get his hands on Sam Maguire.
Mayo’s All-Ireland famine is set to stretch to 65 years unless they lift the All-Ireland in 2016, and it seems that An Taoiseach Enda Kenny was ready to do anything to get Sam back over the Shannon last night.

We don’t actually believe that Enda Kenny had any intention of starting a row to get his hands on Sam of course, but that picture sure does show how much the sight of the trophy drives Mayo people to do odd things.
