Meath club hurling game produces a perfect ‘only in the GAA’ picture

Clear as mud

They could at least have turned them inside out or something?

It’s the referee we have sympathy for as a very confusing clash of jerseys seems to have taken place in a Meath GAA club game on Friday night.

Local journalist Fergal Lynch is at the hurling encounter between Kilmessan and Boardsmill but it seems that both sides have the same colour scheme.

Which you’d naturally think would cause one team to try and change to an ‘away’ strip.

But this is the GAA and teams don’t exactly carry spare kit around in the boot of their cars, so both sides lined out in blue and white for the game.

Which produced this very confusing picture.

Granted one side’s blue is slightly lighter than the other but it must still be confusing for supporters and players alike.

But it’s the scoreboard that really makes for an ‘Only in the GAA’ moment as the board shows blue and white, and then white and blue.

So how do supporters know who’s who and who’s won the game.
