What a beauty.

Lorcan O’Dell has scored the goal of the season as Dublin manage to find the back of Derry’s net four times to win the Division Two league title.

Derry went in at half time with a two point lead and looked to be controlling the game with Shane McGuigan playing particularly well for the ulster side.

Dean Rock was forced off after just five minutes with an ankle injury, but it meant that Ciaran Kilkenny was introduced to the play and proved to be very effective.

Brian Fenton’s shot that dropped short ended up being the turning point of the game, as it fell into waiting hands of Killian O’Gara who punched it into the net.

Then Con O’Callaghan was dragged down in the box to win a penalty which was cooly converted by the returning Paul Mannion.

Derry started seeking for a goal themselves with Niall Loughlin coming closest but it played into Dublin’s hands who were able to keep turning the ball over and counter at pace.

John Small smashed the net with a thunderous shot to secure his team’s third goal, but with only five points in it everything was still to play for.

By this stage though Conor Glass had came off injured which will be a worrying sight for all Derry fans as the Ulster championship is just around the corner.

O’Dell then hammered the final nail in the coffin by scoring the most sublime goals of day, and maybe the season, with a pin-point shot that flew straight into the top corner, clipping the post and wrapping itself right around the net.

Dublin then seen out the match to win the Division Two League title.
