Keep this up, Crettyard GAA Club, and ye are all heading for the top.
There is nothing more daunting than the prospect of plunging oneself into an ice bath, minutes after you have been training drilled to within an inch of your reason.
Many GAA clubs now employ the tried and trusted ice baths, which occasionally come in the form of a bin full of half-fragmented cubes sloshing around well below ‘0’ water.
Amazingly, and courageously, players from Crettyard, Co. Laois have devised a new refueling method to help get them through their ice bath sessions.
This superb photo – of the lads enjoying some chipper (or chippie) during their ice baths – was posted on Thursday evening with a rallying call of the ages:
Chips and ice baths!!!! Hon d yard!!!!!!!
