A legend returns to our screens.
Michael Lyster welcomed RTE viewers to the broadcasters’ coverage of the Ulster football final in Clones, and a nation collectively smiled.
The veteran host had a brush with death, two months ago, when he suffered a heart attack. Lyster credits his wife, Anne, for saving his life with quick-thinking and CPR.
Lyster dropped by the RTE studios, last week, as he settled back into working life and today took back over from Darragh Maloney at the helm of the long-running show.
There was an outpouring of well wishes and joy across Twitter as Lyster introduced himself and thank all those that supported him.
G'wan Michael Lyster! The natural order is restored.
