Eddie Brennan shouldn’t have apologised for this exquisite trolling of Tipperary’s 2010 All-Ireland success

Eddie Brennan was one of the quickest men on the hurling field when he was in action for Kilkenny.

‘Fast Eddie’ was a hero to the Stripey Men for many years, with his uncanny knack for bagging a goal or splitting a defence with a searing run.

And it seems that his talents with a hurl also extend to his quick fingers, as he took a golden opportunity to troll Tipperary last night when a tweet landed on his lap, and he just could not resist.

It seems that the Kilkenny hurlers will now have a dog running in their honour locally, to raise what we assume are funds for the county team throughout 2016.

John Mackey, of the Kilkenny supporters club, tweeted a picture of the animal online last night, and was wondering if some fans could suggest a name for the canine.

A man, whom we can only think is a Tipperary fan, rose to the bait by suggesting the moniker of “LarStopped5”  in reference to the All-Ireland success of 2010 for the Premier County over their near neighbours.

But that little jibe was responded to very very quickly by the Graige-Ballycallan forward whom had the perfect response.

But at least Joe took it in good spirits.

Hurler of the year TJ Reid then got involved.
