Disappointment as the Séamus Coleman Donegal GAA rumours fall through

A pity...

Former Donegal and St Eunan's player, John Haran, tweeted that Coleman had been training with his local club Killybegs and that he could 'very possibly' start in yesterday's game against Four Masters, in the Michael Murphy Sport & Leisure Senior A Championship.

Haran said: “Massive news reaching me this morning that Seamus Coleman is very possibly starting for Killybegs in @officialdonegal SFC against Four Masters today in Donegal Town.

“Has trained with them over the last couple of weeks. Would be brilliant to see.”

However, it was not to be, despite various news outlets picking up the story.

When it turned out that Coleman would be merely spectating, Haran tweeted: "I'm not a journalist or anything so don't take it too seriously."

Four Masters won the game 0-15 to 0-10.
