Clare saw off Waterford this afternoon by 2-33 to 4-21, in a thrilling Munster SHC clash at Páirc Chíosóg.
Déise's talisman Stephen Bennett finish with a superb 3-12, but also nearly got himself sent off after an incident with Adam Hogan.
The Banner man has a reputation for going down easily, and in last year's match between the two sides, he came in for criticism from Dónal Óg Cusack after a foul by Dessie Hutchinson.
He went down once again after a clash with Bennett, but it was difficult to see much contact.
On RTÉ, Dónal Óg described the contact as 'minimal', while Joe Canning said 'I can't see anything in that'.
However, an image emerged of the aftermath of the incident, showing blood running down the back of the youngster's head and neck.
Despite the criticisms, Hogan has been exonerated.
