The GAA has postponed this weekend’s AIB All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football final between Crossmolina Deel Rovers and Ballinderry due to 'tragic events'.
The Mayo and Derry clubs had been set to face off at 4:30 pm on Sunday at Croke Park.
However, following the death of an individual connected to Crossmolina, the match will now take place at a later date.
The CCCC will confirm the rescheduled fixture "in due course."
Crossmolina expressed their heartbreak in a statement shared on social media, saying:
"We are devastated at the news of the tragic incident that has occurred. Our heartfelt thoughts are with the family and friends at this difficult time."
The club also asked for privacy, adding, "We have been in contact with our members involved, and they have requested that we all understand their need for privacy at this incredibly difficult time."
Crossmolina earned their spot in the final by defeating Kildare’s Caragh in the semi-final on 4 January in Longford. Ballinderry secured their place by overcoming Kerry’s Austin Stacks in the other semi-final.
