Oh, him! Yeah, no, I’ve never heard of him.
It will come as no surprise that Zlatan Ibrahimovic once claimed ignorance over one of the most recognisable names in the history of football.
Author David Lagercrantz, who worked with the Swedish superstar striker on the 2011 bestseller I Am Zlatan, came out with a typical Zlatan anecdote in a recent interview.
The writer recounted a great interaction he had with Ibrahimovic in 2011 in which he claimed he had no idea who David Beckham was.
“I told (Ibrahimovic) that I had just read David Beckham’s book and that was such a boring book, actually. And he had a good answer: ‘Who the f— is Beckham?'”
Funnily enough, Zlatan and Becks ended up playing alongside each other at PSG in 2013. You’d like to think he’d be able to recognise the international football icon after they shared the pitch together, but you’d never know with Zlatan.
