Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent has dashed hopes of a move to Manchester United

It was nice while it lasted

Much as we want it to be true, it looks like it won’t be.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future is getting a lot of attention this past week, and no wonder.

The Swede’s time with PSG has come to an end, and with the appointment of his friends Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, some fans were getting excited.

The striker is looking for a rumoured £220,000 per week, which you would feel Old Trafford would be well able to afford.

However, his agent Mino Raiola has dashed those hopes by suggesting the 34-year-old is mulling over several offers, and that Old Trafford falls well down the list.

Speaking to Expressen via The Daily Mail,  the agent explained that he would be stunned if Zlatan ended up in England under Mourinho.

‘We have not decided anything yet. I think it will be a surprise in the end. Everyone is harping on about only United, United, United.’

‘There are some clubs in England, a few clubs in Europe, clubs outside Europe, but everyone assumes that he must go to Manchester United, but it is not true.’

It’s understood that the former AC Milan striker has been in contact with Manchester United at an informal level, while Chinese and Middle Eastern clubs are also looking to tempt him for one final pay-day.

His status as a free agent makes him attractive for a number of sides and while no deal is expected to be completed before the Euros, it appears hopes of seeing him play in the Premier League and terrorise defences across England are over.
