Zlatan Ibrahimovic proves himself hardier than most with chilly Christmas celebration

Great for recovery

At 35, the body doesn’t recover quite as quickly as it once did.

Most veteran athletes use ice baths to speed up the process of muscle recovery, enabling them to enjoy a short turnaround in between games.

But Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not your typical veteran athlete.

He plays by his own rules and will turn whatever he damn well pleases into his own personal ice bath.

And the Manchester United centre-forward, who has taken to the Premier League like a hard-as-nails duck to frozen water, showed off his hardiness on Christmas day.

We already know that Jose Mourinho has planned an intensive day of training for Christmas but Ibrahimovic is taking added measures to ensure that he’ll be firing on all cylinders as he took to the snow in just his underwear and made himself an Adonis-like snow angel prior to a few sit-ups.

As he hits the thick of the hectic festive fixture period, Ibrahimovic will only be allowed a couple of days to get himself back into shape for the next game, with three matches coming in the span of a week for the Red Devils.

United will host Sunderland on St. Stephen’s Day before they welcome Middlesbrough to Old Trafford on New Year’s Eve. Ibrahimovic will then travel to London with his teammates for a clash with West Ham on January 2.
