The weather or the food seem the most obvious aspects of life in Paris one would miss if they moved from the French capital to Manchester.
But when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was asked what he misses about life at Paris Saint-Germain, the Swedish striker bluntly replied that he misses the money he used to earn when playing for the French club.
The new Manchester United striker earned a reported €290,000 a week during his four years in Paris, and his one-year contract at Old Trafford is understood to be worth €260,000 a week. So we’re sure he’s getting by fine despite losing out on €30,000 each week.
The 35-year-old replied with a grin, so it’s highly likely his comment was made tongue-in-cheek.
Ahead of Saturday’s Manchester derby, Zlatan also spoke about Jose Mourinho, and the qualities he possesses as a coach.
Ibrahimovic appreciates Mourinho because he is: “direct with everyone, he is not a coach who goes behind your back. He will tell you. If you’re not good enough, you’re not good enough.”
In other words, he isn’t Pep Guardiola, who Zlatan said gave him the silent treatment when the pair worked together at Barcelona.
