Zlatan somehow managed to apologise while also proving that he was right.
A video of Zlatan Ibrahimovic giving out yards after losing a match at the weekend has been doing the rounds on social media. The Swedish superstar striker let loose on an offensive tirade in which he called France a “shit country” and claimed that they were undeserving of PSG.
This was all sparked because the sharpshooter was unhappy with the refereeing of the game against Bordeuz, which PSG lost 3-2.
However, Zlatan has now apologised for his post-loss mega-rant, although he stands firm on his position that referee was at fault.
I want to clarify that my words tonight were not directed against France or French people. I was speaking purely in terms of football. I lost the game, I accept that, but I can’t accept it when the referee doesn’t follow the rules. It is not the first time and I’m tired of it. I would like to apologise if anybody was offended or interpreted my words the wrong way.
Hat-tip to PSG
