Zinedine Zidane’s son could be playing in the Premier League next season. Enzo Fernandez is wanted by Middlesbrough on a loan deal, according to The Mirror.

The 21-year-old midfielder is currently on Real Madrid’s pre-season tour of the United States, and made his debut as a second-half substitute against Paris Saint-Germain earlier this week.

Enzo has yet to make a senior competitive appearance, but has been a regular for the B team for the past two seasons.

The midfielder has no chance of playing a regular first-team football with Madrid this season, and looks set to leave the club on-loan before the season begins.

Newly-promoted Premier League side Middlesbrough are keen to take him to Riverside. ‘Boro manager Aitor Karanka is a former Madrid teammate of Zidane, and was Jose Mourinho’s assistant at the club for three years

Spanish sides Alcorcon and Sporting Gijon, as well as an Italian side, are also reportedly interested in the 21-year-old, who wears “Enzo”, rather than his father’s name, on his jersey.
