He went for a goal and he got a point.
It’s a pity points don’t count in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park though.
Hibernian faced Dundee United on Saturday afternoon, for a chance to play either Celtic or Rangers in the final next month.
The game has not exactly been a fast-paced or thrilling affair, but there was some rare excitement when Dundee’s Coll Donaldson was penalised for a handball in the box in the first half.
Fraser Fyvie’s cross seemed more like ball-to-hand, but anyway, up stepped Hibernian striker Jason Cummings from 12 yards out.
Now we love a good Panenka as much as anyone, but not in a cup semi-final, and not especially when the teams are deadlocked at 0-0.
Unfortunately, the effort at goal was not quite as good as his hairstyle, and the ball looped over for a goal-kick.
Some penalty… #Hibs https://t.co/p48hIbKvvy

Oh my god I've just seen Hibs penalty in the semi, pick a frigging bottom corner, don't change your mind and place it hard & firm! #flashgit
