Wilfried Zaha makes immaculate blunder launching new Twitter branding

Close, but no cigar

Ben Kiely

Of all the things Wilfried Zaha could have gotten wrong, you’d expect his own name to be right down at the bottom of the list.

If you were observant enough while perusing Twitter on Thursday evening you will have noticed something different about Zaha’s account.

The Crystal Palace winger debuted his fresh new short-lived Twitter profile on Thursday evening, complete with a stylish new avatar and cover photo, both of which contained the player’s new logo. Because obviously no self-respecting Premier League player goes without his own logo.

There was one slight/major problem with his new branding though – the spelling of his name. Somehow, whoever was put in charge of designing the logo for an account with roughly three quarters of a million followers didn’t bother double-checking the player’s name and forgot about the second “i” in Wilfried.
