It helps when you have the best strikeforce on the planet.
Luis Enrique took charge of his 100th game with Barcelona this afternoon, a 2-0 victory over Levante that moved the Catalans three points clear of Atletico Madrid, and his early record with the Blaugrana will take some beating.
Enrique has won 80 of those games, drawing 11 and losing just nine, racking up an incredible 282 goals in the process, statistics that compare very favourably with his former team-mate Pep Guardiola, who no doubt can take some of the credit for creating the Barca machine in the first place.
First 100 matches managing Barça:
> L.Enrique: 80W, 11D, 09L, 282GF y 72GA
> Guardiola: 71W, 19D, 10L, 242GF y 76GA— MisterChip (English) (@MisterChiping) February 7, 2016
The game also saw Enrique match Guardiola’s record streak of 28 games unbeaten, and all of this merely says to us that Barca are bloody brilliant no matter who is in charge.
