Let’s hope this catches on.
Dundalk are heading to the Aviva Stadium, next week, and they will hope to get as close to a capacity crowd as possible.
Legia Warsaw are the side standing in the way of Stephen Kenny’s men as they seek to qualify for the highly lucrative Champions League group stages.
Dundalk will bring thousands upon thousands of their fans to the Dublin stadium but they will happily welcome neutrals and fans of rival SSE Airtricity League sides.
They will be heartened, then, to learn that Wexford Youths are towing right in behind them. The side from the Model County are putting on a free bus for any of their supporters interested in heading along to the Aviva on Wednesday, August 17.

There has been a good uptake on the offer and Wexford are hoping to bring north of 40 supporters to Dublin.
The whole notion of supporting a rival team has wound up many LOI fans and there were some terse responses. However, Galway United player Vinny Faherty summed up the gesture, and show of support, quite nicely.
