It sounds good doesn’t it, and maybe last night suggests that a deal for the Ireland man to move to London could be on the cards.
Speculation went into overdrive as Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino was spotted at the Aviva for the Republic of Ireland’s 1-1 draw with Netherlands.

The Argentine could just have been in town for a relaxing weekend, but whatever about transfers, at least the Tottenham boss has one less headache to worry about.
Tottenham are hoping to vacate the iconic White Hart Lane over the next three years, and with Champions League football to look forward to next season, they want to make as much money from their European adventure as possible.
With that in mind, they have today confirmed that Wembley will host all their home Champions League games next season.

This is to meet UEFA requirements, which will be impacted by the current stadium works affecting access, capacity and rights delivery.

The F.A has also confirmed that the arrangement means that while Tottenham’s new stadium is being built, the club has the option of playing all their homes games at the iconic venue in 2017.
