Paul Pogba has disappointed Chelsea and Manchester United fans by ruling out a move to the Premier League for now.
The French midfielder, still only 21, has been heavily linked with a move back to former club United, while Jose Mourinho is a huge fan. But Pogba has firmly denied he wants to leave Juventus, telling a French website: ‘I feel very well at Juventus. I hope to stay here for long. Manchester United? I will ask why they let me go. I came here and I am very happy to wear the Bianconeri jersey. Everything is fine.’ (Daily Star)
Southampton have done pretty well with acquisitions from the Eredivisie, none more so than manager Ronald Koeman, and the Holland legend could be about to add a third forward from the Dutch league. With Graziano Pelle and Dusan Tadic flourishing at St Mary’s, Koeman is keen on Tadic’s former FC Twente clubmate Jesus Corona. Leicester City have jumped to the front of the queue to sign Celtic midfielder Kris Commons. The 31-year-old is out of contract next summer, and with no agreement on a new deal, the Foxes have joined Crystal Palace and Bolton as suitors for Commons, who could be available for as little as £350,000 in January.
