Liverpool and Everton played out a bore draw on Saturday afternoon.
The Merseyside derby was devoid of quality, intensity and talking points. Liverpool rested players ahead of the second-leg of their Champions League tie against Manchester City on Tuesday, and an out-of-form Everton would happily bring a disappointing season to a close now if they could.
Other than a couple of impressive saves by both goalkeepers, and a late push by Everton for a goal, the most notable moment of the match was when Wayne Rooney was substituted off just before the hour mark.
The former Manchester United and England captain was taken off for the second game in a row, and he didn't appear to be pleased with his manager Sam Allardyce.

Rooney cut a frustrated figure as he took his place on the bench and appeared to call the decision to take him off as "bullshit."
