The meteoric rise of Marcus Rashford shows no signs of stopping.
Manchester United’s exciting young talent has had a whirlwind 2016, setting sail on an incredible voyage with two goals on his first outing for the Red Devils in a Europa League clash with FC Midtjylland.
Since that fateful February night, the Manchester-born youngster scored on his Premier League debut, England U21 debut, his full England debut and became the youngest player to ever score in a Manchester derby.
His popularity is spreading quickly and that’s reflected in the fact that he’s currently in the top 10 most in-demand shirts in sales, according to figures from Sports Direct.
Rashford’s captain Wayne Rooney has fallen out of favour ever so slightly for club and country and he’s also seen his popularity plummet among fans, dropping seven places on the list to 13th.
New arrivals to Old Trafford, Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, top the list while Arsenal duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are hot on their heels.
Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho rounds out the top five and it’s surprising to see Henrikh Mkhitaryan even make the top 20, considering the fact that fans usually have to pay per letter in players’ surnames.
