WATCH: You’d be doing well to find a more fluky save than this beauty

Like Hell he meant this

Ben Kiely

A genuine, bona fide no-look save.

Fans who caught the Internacional vs Gloria match in the Gaucho 1 regional league in Brazil this week (how could you miss it, sure?) witnessed one of the most memorable moments of flukery in the history of the beautiful game.

Five minutes in, Internacional were awarded a penalty and up stepped Marquinhos to take what must have been the most frustrating spot-kick of his career.

The ball rattled both posts and rebounded straight back to his feet. With goalkeeper Rafael Roballo’s back turned, Marquinhos thundered the ball towards goal from six-yards out. Although his effort looked destined to smash the back of the net, it clipped the keeper’s heel, ricocheted off the cross bar and bounced towards the corner flag.

We can only assume this shot-stopper bought a lottery ticket immediately after the match as he’s clearly the luckiest man in the world.
