But the back four looked shaky, particularly for Finland's goal and the opposition came waltzing down the left before three Belgians seemingly fell asleep in the box and Kasper Hamalainen pounced.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, sure Ireland can't even draw with Belarus but Shane Long and Hoolahan were barely used - and they turned the game with the little time they got - and Jon Walters didn't even feature.
Belgium's injury crisis is real though and the imbalance in their squad is starting to show.
