Watch Tim Sherwood explain how he suffered a bizarre injury kicking a water bottle

It wasn't even a big two-litre

That’s so Tim

Now that Mario Balotelli has left the Premier League where are we going to get our comedy moments from?

Tim Sherwood that’s who.

The Aston Villa manager saw his side draw 2-2 with Sunderland this afternoon but an incident in the game means that the former Tottenham manager has pulled his hamstring.

Sherwood is understood to have drawn a kick at an innocent water bottle after seeing his side denied a penalty, and Carles Gil booked for an incident in the second half of today’s game at Villa Park.

He explained all as he hobbled into the post-match press conference,

“I was going to kick the water bottles forward but there were too many people so I thought I’d be polite and back-heel them and that has done my hamstring bad.”

“I didn’t do my hamstring when I played but I’ve done it now as a manager!”
