Carlos Blanco Moreno is far from the biggest name in Juventus’ squad. Hell, he probably doesn’t even crack the top 20.
But people will be paying a lot more attention to the young Spaniard after he scored one of the goals of pre-season.
The 20-year-old defender joined from Barcelona’s youth set-up and announced himself with a stunner against Melbourne Victory from just inside the opposition half.
Opposition goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas was caught out by the deceptive effort, which relied more on precision than power.

Juve may have lost the International Champions Cup game on penalties, with youngsters Roman Macek and Stefano Padovan missing from the spot, but Blanco’s goal will surely be all that anyone outside of Melbourne is talking about.
Well, that and the news that Gonzalo Higuain may well be on his way to Turin for a club-record €94m.
It’s not been a bad few hours for Max Allegri’s team, even if the result down under wasn’t what they might have hoped for.
Oh, and there’s the small matter of welcoming new arrivals Miralem Pjanic, Dani Alves, Mehdi Benatia and Marco Pjaca into the fold.
Yeah, we think they’ll be ok with or without Paul Pogba.
