Roy Keane faced the press at Montbauron, Versailles this afternoon and gave as good as he got, again.
Ireland kick off their Euro 2016 campaign on Monday evening and the coaching staff are all contracted up to the 2018 World Cup. Every Irish player has trained fully and put their hand up for selection against Sweden.
Reasons to be cheerful, but there’s no point getting ahead of yourself when Roy Keane is about.

Ireland’s assistant manager had some more questions to answer about last week’s harsh critique of several of his squad. He was also queried about his new deal and whether he had been tempted to take up a coaching job with Premier League clubs.
After handling a couple of questions, he bit back. The recipient was TV3’s Paul Walsh, who manfully fought his corner for a while.
Keane challenged Walsh to tell the room how much his TV3 contract is worth before confirming that he had been approached by a club, for a top job, this summer.

Luckily enough, Walsh left the press tent in one piece.

All’s well that was awkwardly endured.
