WATCH: Shinji Kagawa claims a delightful derby goal with deft edge-of-the-area chip

Their timing is uncanny.

Whenever Manchester United lose under Louis van Gaal, you can guarantee that one of the players the Dutchman decided to turf out of the club will come up with an extremely well-taken goal.

We’ve already seen countless examples from Javier Hernandez and Angel Di Maria this season, and on the day United had their collective arses handed to them at White Hart Lane, Shinji Kagawa got in on the action.

The Japanese international, like Hernandez a survivor of One Night in Milton Keynes, is now back with Borussia Dortmund – the club United signed him from.

With Dortmund facing Schalke in the Ruhr derby on Sunday, Kagawa opened the scoring with a perfectly-executed chip from the edge of the area.

“Oh how Louis van Gaal could do with something like this i… blah blah blah…”
