Seamus Coleman has brought a smile to the face of a young Everton fan in desperate need of a lift.
Will McKenzie, an 11-year-old Everton fan, has been having a tough time since his father Stephen passed away earlier this year.
Will’s dad was just 52-years-old. The pair were “best friends” and would regularly attend Everton games together.
Stephen’s passing in April was, of course, a tragedy for the family, with Will in particular struggling with the loss.
His friend nominated the 11-year-old as a candidate for Everton’s Blue Crimbo Secret Santa surprise campaign, and he won the prize of tickets for Will and five of his friends for Everton’s game away to Leicester City on December 26.
Everton sent the soundest man in football, Seamus Coleman, to deliver the good news, and Will was speechless. Fair play to all involved for a really nice gesture.
