That’s the way to celebrate a new contract!
A day after being handed a new deal, Ryan Manning was gifted another pleasant surprise by the Fulham defence.
Signed two years ago by Harry Redknapp, the Galway man’s time at Loftus Road had not been going to plan and, when Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told him he could look for another club, the 20-year-old looked destined to be moving on.
Then Ian Holloway returned to West London and, all of a sudden, things were looking up.
‘Olly’ threw him into the first team and ‘The R’s’ started winning.
Then he started to do some really tasty stuff and on Friday Holloway handed him a contract that will keep him at Rangers until 2019.
“It’s been an unbelievable couple of weeks for me,” he said on signing. “When I went back home for Christmas for a couple of days I had no idea this would happen. It’s been a whirlwind to be honest, but I’ve enjoyed every minute and, now the contract is sorted, I’m really hoping I can kick on.”
Kick on he did, scoring QPR’s opener against Fulham – thanks to some really, really, shit defending.
But this talented young man has done enough in the past few weeks off his own bat to deserve a gift like this, but he still had work to do, slotting the ball beautifully between the goalkeeper’s legs.
Keep this stuff up and he may even earn a pen pic on the club website.
The fans really do love the Galway man.
Well done Ryan Manning for his first QPR goal. Maybe we can finally be proud of a home ground player? Time will tell. #QPRFUL #QPR

That fan mentions the start of his QPR career. Manning’s QPR career started two years ago but, after two years of hard work, we are all beginning to take notice.
