Roy Keane is often characterised as an angry, scary and intimidating man.
And while he may be all of those things, he was also an excellent footballer. Before they fell out, Alex Ferguson offered the former Manchester United captain the highest praise possible.
Back in 2002, Fergie said: “There is no more influential player in the World today in any team than Roy Keane.”
The Corkman wasn’t as renowned for his technique as some other player’s in United’s famous midfield, during their all-conquering years, but you don’t get to that level without possessing the necessary skills.
Keane showed today at Ireland training that he’s lost none of his old magic.
Although his shot was closer to the goal than is normally the case in crossbar challenges, we’ve given Keano bonus points for making the ball roll directly back to him.
That’s either brilliant technique, or the ball was so intimidated it thought it’d be for the best to just return to Keane.
Top marks either way, Roy.
