The king is back.
That’s the MLS saying that, not us.
What we’ll say is: the king is back.
Robbie Keane took 13 minutes to announce his return to a football pitch and do what he does best, hit nothing but net.
The Irish skipper has been sidelined since March but he made a goal-scoring comeback on Sunday night as LA Galaxy saw off New England 4-2 with a brace from their favourite Dublin son.
The first was a leftie.

His second looked even easier. But, listen, being in the right place at the right time – all of the bloody time – is not a coincidence.

Then Steven Gerrard. Steven f**king Gerrard!
As Steven Gerrard goals go, this was the most un-Steven Gerrard goal of them all. This was right out of the Lionel Messi school of trickery and improvisation.
Silky smooth from Steven Gerrard to ice it for @LAGalaxy. Highlights: https://t.co/mIFbBr9osE https://t.co/OmlHtl60RH

Giovani dos Santos scored a screamer in there somewhere too.
That hit. Speechless.

But let’s talk about Robbie Keane. Let’s talk Euro 2016. The king is back.
