Robbie Brady.
If you had to pick a player who summed up everything that’s good about Irish football you would pick Robbie Brady.
Skill, courage, passing, technique, heart. He has them all.
And now is name is there alongside Houghton, Whelan, McGrath and Keane as a legend of Irish football.
Brady’s 85th minute header secured what was just Ireland’s fourth ever victory at a major tournament and now the green army marches on to play France in Lyon on Sunday afternoon.
Afterwards, Brady spoke to RTE’s Tony O’Donoghue and you could hear in his voice, see in his eyes exactly what this moment meant him, exactly what it means for this team to spoken about like the sides of ’88, ’90 or 2002.
Robbie Brady said he dreamed of a moment like THAT goal. @corktod https://t.co/GpvveXksc6

Delighted for Robbie Brady the emotion in his interview is something like a real fan could only dream off.
