Ah, those Germans. They really love social media bantz.
Whether it’s the German national team tweeting Cardiff City to tell them to go easy on Manchester City’s Leroy Sane, or just little bit of club v club tit-for-tat, one thing is clear: those people who run German teams’ social media account love – absolutely love – a bit of Twitter bantz.
Maybe it’s one person running all these accounts, a depressing Black Mirror-style account where one man in a darkened room desperately tries to think of a funny reply to send to himself that might hopefully cause a smirk from someone, anyone, who might read it.
So let’s hope that’s not the case. Let’s hope it’s all good-natured fun.
The latest from this genre is Red Bull Leipzig having a gentle pop at cash-rich Liverpool for their unsuccessful attempt to get Naby Keita to move to Merseyside six months ahead of schedule after Philippe Coutinho joined Barcelona.
And they did this with a little celebratory video of Keita in a Leipzig kit on the day the transfer window shut.
If they were hoping to engage Liverpool fans in conversation, they succeeded.
Well played everyone.

Cheeky beggars! Good luck with the remainder of your season. Hope Naby arrives in the summer in top condition. No scratches, dents, chips etc.
