What was Pep thinking about?
Pep Guardiola is widely regarded as one of the world’s best football coaches, an innovative football man who’s had an incredibly successful career in management thus far.
Pep isn’t like your average football manager, and evidently thinks about the game on a deeper level than most. So deep he appeared to enter a trance like state during a recent press conference.
The Bayern Munich manager was alongside Rafa Benitez at a press conference, promoting the Audi Cup friendly tournament currently being contested by Munich, Real Madrid, AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur.
As Rafa is speaking, Pep appears to sink into a bizarre trance for about 20 seconds.

Was Pep suddenly struck by a bolt of tactical inspiration? Was he formulating a new 1-9-1 formation, with Manuel Neuer in central midfield?
Did he just remember he forgot to turn off the immersion? Or does Rafa Benitez possess hypnotic powers, enabling him to dupe rival managers into trance-like states?
Or was Pep just a bit bored?
We’ll never know for sure, but it does seem a bit strange.
Next time you’ve a boring public appearance, come prepared Pep.
