WATCH: Olivier Giroud and Mathieu Flamini send Arsenal crashing and their fans into complete meltdown

Ah lads

Arsenal could’ve won that game.

Honestly.

If it wasn’t for a Ter Stegen wonder save on the hour mark and Olivier Giroud missing a couple of big chances, Barcelona would’ve been chasing the hosts.

Instead, Neymar worked some magic, Messi scored past Petr Cech – it turns out he can – and then Mathieu Flamini worked his own magic to grant Barca a second away goal and put the tie surely beyond the Gunners.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was having a bit of a nightmare too and he missed a huge opportunity in the first period.

And the verdict wasn’t good for the English midfielder.

Then Giroud went through in the second half and decided not to shoot. Seconds later, he actually did well with this headed chance but Ter Stegen broke Arsenal hearts with his stunning reactions.

Then Giroud had a chance AGAIN and Giroud decided not to shoot AGAIN.

Then, this happened.

Arsene Wenger was playing with fire in fairness.

And Messi refused to pass from the spot.

The following? Well, we’re sure you could’ve predicted it.

Oh well. There’s always time to turn it around in the second leg. Anyone? Anyone?
