That's gotta hurt

Neymar had a bittersweet game for Brazil during their World Cup Qualifier against Bolivia on Thursday.

The Barca superstar may have scored one and set up two during his country’s 5-0 hammering of the South American minnows, but he was forced to end his night early after suffering a nasty-looking facial injury.

After finding himself in a one-on-one with Bolivian defender Yasmani Duk on the left wing. His effort at taking the defender on proved to be his last action in the game as he caught a stray forearm to the dome.

Neymar immediately went down to the ground in a heap and when he lifted his head up it was visibly split and gushing a continuous stream of blood. He received some attention on the field for a few minutes before being substituted.

To add insult to injury, Neymar’s nutmeg attempt didn’t even come off.

Man City fans will be delighted to hear that Gabriel Jesus got his name on the scoresheet, while Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho and Robert Firmino also bagged a goal apiece. Filipe Luis got Brazil’s other goal.
