Moussa Sissoko must have thought the scouts were watching when the cameras panned to him during his warm up.
Dimitri Payet’s stunning 11th hour winner against Romania was undoubtedly the highlight of Euro 2016’s opener. However, the clear runner-up prompted more of a belly-chuckle than an awws of admiration and it didn’t even happen on the pitch during France’s 2-1 win.
Moussa Sissoko started the game from the substitutes bench, but he did make the briefest of cameos coming on for Payet in additional time, kindly allowing the West Ham man to get a standing ovation after that absolute beauty.

While the Newcastle United midfielder was warming up on the sideline, the camera slowly made its way towards him. Seeing it in his peripheral vision, Sissoko waited until the moment was just right, ensuring the camera had halted to a stop and he was completely in focus.
As if someone had turned his switch from “dilly-dallying” to “turbo mode”, he sprung into life and completely hammed up the warm up.
