Scotland lose, Ireland winning, Germany taking care of business on their end.
What’s going on?
Ideally, for a country with no more aspirations of claiming top spot in the qualifying group, Ireland would be hoping for Germany to go and be Germany now and cut themselves off from the rest of the group.
And they wasted no time in doing that when two early strikes put the brakes on Poland’s charge.
First up, Thomas Muller’s bit of movement in the box is a pundit’s dream as he draws two defenders and goes through them before he taps in the opener as he so inevitably does.

Then, Mario Gotze did this.
That was before Lewandowski powered a header that Gareth Bale would’ve been proud of to make it 2-1.
