Louis van Gaal will not go gently into the night.
For a man who’s repeatedly accused of employing “boring” tactics, and criticised for not leaving his seat during games, Louis van Gaal can get pretty animated.
The Manchester United manager was understandably furious following Diego Costa’s late equaliser against Chelsea. But instead of initially directing his anger towards his lazy winger Memphis Depay, he appeared to take umbrage with the officials.

Van Gaal hadn’t calmed down by the time he arrived in the post-match press conference, and this time directed his anger against the media.
The topic of Jose Mourinho replacing the Dutchman as United manager once again arose, and Van Gaal wasn’t happy.
“Why do the club have to deny when you’re inventing stories? I can say you are getting the sack tomorrow. What about your wife? Your children?”
Van Gaal also hit out at criticism of his perceived boring tactics, and reminded the journalists in attendance that former United manager Alex Ferguson struggled in his early years at Old Trafford.
“It was not a boring match. For the third time in a row, it was sparkling. So I hope to get the support of the media this week.”
“You write what you like. Maybe you remember the [difficult] first years of Fergie. You have to study the stats,”
“You must do your research,” Van Gaal said, before reportedly storming off.
Never change, Louis.
