Lionel Messi takes it as an insult when you call someone else the greatest player in the world.
The Argentinian’s talents know no bounds. His trickery and sorcery know no limitations. He is, by almost every definition of the word, superhuman.
Barcelona were uncharacteristically underpar in Sunday night’s El Clasico. They’ve been in dreadful form, Madrid have their tails up and, for the first time in what felt like about 20 years, Real were dominating the game.
They even went a goal in front. Even Casemiro scored.
Then Lionel Messi happened. Lionel bloody Messi.
Spare a thought for Dani Carvajal though please, the poor f**ker.
Ankle breaker stuff there from Lionel Messi with the equaliser for Barca, the attacker, in the words of Ray Hudson, is cleaner than Nutrogena with the strike.
You okay @DaniCarvajal92? pic.twitter.com/F9KoxnAZCA

Take it in. Marvel at it. This man is incredible. He’s not a man at all. He’s not mortal.
