How do you solve a problem like not having Sergio Aguero?
The Argentine sharpshooter has been slapped with a three-match suspension after a charge of violent conduct was proven against him during a recent match against West Ham. Crucially, it means that the elite striker has been ruled out of the upcoming Manchester derby next weekend.
While the initial reaction to this sentence may have been for City fans to give up and fall into a pit of despair, their spirits will surely be lifted once they see what Kelechi Iheanacho did for Nigeria on international duty.
During his side’s Africian Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania, the 19-year-old City player scored the only goal of the game and, as luck would have it, it was also an amazing strike.
Iheanacho took hold of possession on the edge of the box heading into the last 10 minutes of the match and absolutely thundered the ball into the back of the net. If he’s able to carry that form into the clash against Manchester United, City fans will be a little more confident that they can pick up a result.
